Respite Relief

This service provides short –term care and supervision in accordance with the person’s Individual Support Plan.  The goal is to provide a “break“ for the caregiver.

Role Summary
Employee is responsible for providing for the social, emotional and physical needs of the person.

  • Ensuring medication is taken as prescribed.
  • Providing appropriate first aid or attention to an illness or injury
  • Providing appropriate food
  • Following the person’s Individual Support Plan.

Responsibilities
Employee is responsible for being prompt and reliable.
Responsible for asking caregiver any questions to insure person’s care is appropriate.
Give verbal reminders and or prompting as directed per ISP.
Actively participate in continuing skill development activities.
Attend other training per ISP or provider request.

Qualifications
Must have on hands experience caring for another person.

  • CPR
  • First Aid
  • Article 9 training
  • Ability to interact with families, Support Coordinator and other ISP team members.
